MN Indian Golf Classic Rules
- Men’s Championship Flight and Men’s Senior Championship Flight will play Summer Rules and play from the Blue Tees.
- Men’s Super Seniors will play Winter Rules in your own fairway, and play from the Gold Tees. You may move your ball up to six inches no closer to the hole. The ball must be played down in all roughs!!
- Men’s Regular Flights will play Winter Rules in your own fairway, and play from the White Tees. You may move your ball up to six inches no closer to the hole. The ball must be played down in all roughs.
- All Women’s Flights will play Winter Rules in your own fair way, and play from the Red Tees. You may move ball up to six inches no closer to hole. You may not move your ball in the rough!!
- Junior Flight 13-14 will play Winter Rules and play from the Gold Tees. Juniors age 15-17 will play Winter Rules in your own fairway and play the White Tees. All Female Juniors will play from the RED Tees.
- Casual Water, if you encounter casual water inform your playing partners and with their permission you may move/drop your ball at the nearest point of relief with no penalty.
- Ground under repair, staked trees, or cart paths, you may move your ball to the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole, no penalty.
- Out of Bounds, white stakes to the left of No. 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, & 9. Stakes behind No. 2, 3, & 6 greens. Stakes to the right of No. 10, 12,18, & 13 fence and stakes. One stroke penalty plus distance.
- Water hazard, Yellow stakes No. 2. One stoke penalty, hit from the drop area, Red Stakes holes #5, 17 & 18. One stroke penalty.
- Free one club length drop from all 150 yard shrubs and also from fairway side of fence to the right of hole No. 7 & 13.
- Saturday Bestball competition, each team must exchange score cards, all four individual scores must be kept, plus the team’s bestball score. Score cards must be turned in after completion of each nine holes. Failure to do so will result in an automatic 2 stroke penalty for offending players.
- All first place ties must be played off, all other ties will be broken via a score card play off starting with the No. 1 handicap hole etc.
- If you are unsure of a specific ruling, play your original ball plus a provisional ball and secure a ruling from the tournament committee.
- Any inappropriate conduct or behavior/poor sportsmanship will result in immediate disqualification and you will be required to leave the premises.
- Closest to the Pin Winner Take all on holes No. 2, 11, & 15 are side bets. You must pay an additional $5 per hole to enter.
- All prizes will be awarded at Sunday’s Award Ceremony.
- All play on Saturday will be medal/stroke play, All play on Sunday, will be match play, with the expectation of Men’s Champion ship Flight and all women’s flights.
- All groups must maintain the pace of play with the group in front of them. Groups will receive one warning for slow play. A second warning will result in a two stroke penalty for all golfers in the group. A third warning will result in disqualification for the entire group.
